How You Can Help
We love our cadets and we support our Academy. We do this in many ways and we have fun doing it! Whether it is raising funds for special projects like the Joint Service Academy Military Ball (JSAMB) or Texas Night, supporting our cadets, or bringing attention to the vision of the Academy, you will find us busy planning events like the ones listed below. Much of this we can not do without the generous donations from people like you. We invite you to familiarize yourself with all the wonderful events that we host to support cadets and their families.
Wings Over Houston Air Show Fundraiser
This is one of our biggest fundraisers and many parents participate. We all chip in and man a giant concession stand at the Wings Over Houston Air Show. For two days in the fall, we get a bird's eye view of all the flying action while we serve food to thousands of air show attendees. We do the prep, frying, serving and clean up on this Saturday and Sunday fundraiser.
The next WOH event will be held at Ellington Airport in Houston on October 10-11, 2020.
Find out more about WOH at their official site here. Donate now to help our efforts.
Mentor Mom's was established in 2014 through our SETXAFAPA parents group . The purpose of Mentor Mom's is to get more USAFA Mom's together to visit, answer questions or concerns, and really just to get to know each other better. We have divided our USAFA Moms into geographical groupings to make meeting each other a little simpler. We hope to be able to get together at least every six weeks or quarterly for coffee, lunch, dinner or anything in between!

We bring Texas to Colorado! In this incredible night of fun and food, many in our group plan ahead and then travel to the Academy with BarBQ and smokers in tow. Several parents begin cooking 24 hours in advance for this big night. At Texas Night, we feed hundreds of cadets with the tastes of Texas and also award Texas-themed door prizes donated by parents and local businesses. Cadets from Texas and a few of their invited fellow-cadets all enjoy this big night. It's tons of food, fun and fellowship. We invite all of our parents to participate.
The 11th Annual Texas Night is scheduled for Thursday, March 19, 2020!
